Had evidence been adduced before the Magistrate on the charge and the evidence been substantiated, the question of extradition would then have required consideration; but on this point it is unnecessary to discuss, although I should much like to have the Opinion thereon of the Law Offices of the Crown for my future guidance.
As to the course taken in the present instance, I trust Your Grace will agree with me that the law was strictly followed, while every disposition was shown to deal courteously with, and, as far as might be, accommodate the wishes of the Representative of a friendly Power.
